Acrylic Painting
This painting is a triptic on canvas.
The canvas is divided into 3 equal sections. The top section is a wedge tailed eagle, depicting flying on the winds of change (shown in silver and gold lines).
The middle section is an owl, hunting a rat in the snow, on the top of Hobart’s Mt Wellington.
The bottom section is a swan, enjoying a bath. His splashing is making a rainbow and the rainbow has music notes on it.
This piece has spiritual significance: the owl is meant to depict how we should be chasing after the things of God, ‘hunting our blessings.’ The eagle is meant to depict how true believers follow God and fly on the winds of change. The Swan is to show how we should always praise God, even in the dark. You can always find joy, just as the Swan is finding joy in his bath, the colours and the music (the rainbow in the picture has music notes on it).
