Seahorse Surprise Necklace

This is a very unique, special piece. A friend found a dried seahorse at a local beach and gave it to me. I knew I could use it. I used earthy toned beads on a thin wire, then wrapped it around some dyed lace. I then wrapped the whole thing in thicker wire and more lace. This keeps the shape. Embellishments of pearls, beads and ribbons were sewn onto the necklace. Then the seahorse was sewn onto the bottom, as a pendant. A loop was made at the top to fasten it. The result is a beautiful piece like no other. You’ll be the only one wearing a piece like it!
